Date: 02.09.2024

Bloomsbury (Hart Publishing) has published the book “Private International Law in BRICS” under the editing of Stellina Jolly and Saloni Khanderia. The book, written by the leading experts in the relevant jurisdictions, reflects various aspects of international private law in the BRICS states (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), their convergences and divergences.

Stepan Sultanov, the head of KIAP’s international arbitration projects, has written the chapter devoted to the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Russia. The chapter contains in-depth analysis of applicable national law, as well as international conventions, and the statistics of recognition and enforcement in Russia for the period of several years. Anastasiya Ryabova, KIAP’s associate, substantially contributed in writing the chapter and collecting the relevant statistics.

“The chapter about recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards for Hart/Bloomsbury Publishing is another contribution to KIAP's long-term tradition to strengthen our expertise in Asian and Middle Eastern states”, – noted Stepan Sultanov.
