On 12 June 2024 Belgrade will host the annual English Law Day. The event will give floor to leading legal professionals from Russia, Sebia, and the United Kingdom. The English Law Day’s agenda features such topics as “Investor state and international commercial arbitration in Serbia and further afield”; “Sanctions and their impact on transport, trade, transactions and the disputes which arise”; “Combating corruption and fraud through the use of international legal mechanisms”, and “Investments into Serbia and England, streamlining processes and securing the best terms”.
Anastasiya Ryabova, the associate of KIAP’s International Arbitration Practice and the associate member of the Arbitration Association in Serbia, will cover the topic of third-party funding of arbitration at the backdrop of sanctions.
